Holle Organic Baby Formula Stage 2 is a Demeter biodynamic follow-on formula based on organic skimmed cow milk, designed for babies from 6 months as solid foods begin to complement their daily nutrition. Made in Germany under the same biodynamic standards that have defined Holle since 1933, it is a natural next step for families already using the Stage 1 formula. Demeter Biodynamic at Every Stage

The Holle Organic Baby Formula Stage 2 is certified to Demeter biodynamic standards, which require farms to operate as closed, self-sustaining ecosystems. Follow-On Formula for Babies from 6 Months
At 6 months, babies typically begin exploring pureed and mashed solid foods. Stage 2 is designed to complement this new diet, providing nutrients that may be less consistent in early solid food intake. The formula uses organic Demeter-certified skimmed cow milk alongside whey protein, with intact proteins appropriate for healthy babies who tolerate cow milk.

Ingredients and Nutritional Profile
At Stage 2, the carbohydrate blend expands to include maltodextrin and starch alongside lactose from the milk and whey base. This provides a broader energy source suited to a more active baby. The vegetable oil blend includes organic palm oil. DHA is supplied by oil from the microalgae Schizochytrium sp.
The formula does not contain added probiotic cultures or prebiotic GOS. Its composition is free from synthetic preservatives and artificial additives, in keeping with Holle's clean-label standard.

Preparation and Everyday Use
Always prepare formula following the instructions on the can. Use freshly boiled water cooled to the specified temperature, and make each bottle fresh rather than preparing in bulk. Powdered infant formula is not sterile, so clean equipment and careful measurement are essential. Use only the scoop included in the can, and measure powder and water in the exact ratio stated on the label.

How to Prepare Powdered Formula
- Boil fresh water for each feed and let it cool to the temperature printed on your can. Powdered infant formula is not sterile, so the CDC and WHO advise that water at about 158°F (70°C) lowers the risk of Cronobacter, especially for newborns and higher-risk infants. Follow your can's instructions and ask your pediatrician which approach is right for your baby.
- Pour about two-thirds of the required water into a clean, sterilized bottle.
- Use only the scoop provided with your formula pack (sizes may vary). Add the correct number of level scoops - 1 scoop per 1 oz / 30 ml of water.
- Close the bottle with the nipple and cap. Shake vigorously until all powder is dissolved.
- Add the remaining water and shake again.
- Cool to drinking temperature (approx. 98 °F / 37 °C). Always test the milk temperature before feeding to avoid scalding your baby.
Important Information
- Only use the scoop included in the package.
- Do not make feeds weaker or stronger than indicated. Do not add extra water, scoops, or other ingredients.
- Always prepare fresh. Do not prepare bottles in advance. Discard any leftovers after each feed.
- Never heat bottles in the microwave - hot spots can cause burns.
- Once opened, use formula within 21 days. Never use beyond the expiration date printed on the box/tin (format: day/month/year).
- Avoid storing formula in hot or humid environments.
