Holle Organic Baby Formula Stage 3 for Babies 10 to 12 Months
Holle Organic Baby Formula Stage 3 is a Demeter biodynamic growing-up milk based on organic skimmed cow milk, designed for toddlers from around 10 months as a nutritional complement to an increasingly varied solid food diet. Made in Germany by Holle, a brand with over 90 years of organic and biodynamic expertise, it rounds out the Holle Organic Cow line with the same commitment to clean ingredients and certified sourcing. Your pediatrician can help you decide whether a growing-up milk is appropriate for your child and when to introduce it.
Holle's Organic and Biodynamic Standards
Founded in 1933 and headquartered in Riehen, Switzerland, Holle is one of Europe's oldest and most respected organic baby food producers. Its formulas are manufactured in Germany and certified to Demeter biodynamic standards, a certification that requires farms to function as self-sustaining ecosystems with tight controls over animal welfare, soil health, and biodiversity.
Stage 3 carries a total Demeter share of 68 percent, with the cow milk base sourced from Demeter-certified farms. For families who have followed the Holle cow milk line from the beginning, Stage 3 provides consistent Demeter-certified nutrition into the toddler phase. Explore the Holle Formula Stage 3 page for more details on this product and how to use it.
A Growing-Up Milk from Around 10 Months
Stage 3 is intended for toddlers from approximately 10 months old, a point when solid foods typically make up a significant portion of daily nutrition. Growing-up milks are not mandatory, but many parents find them a practical way to ensure consistent nutrient intake alongside a mixed diet.
The formula uses organic Demeter-certified skimmed cow milk and whey protein, with intact proteins. It is not hydrolyzed, so it is suitable for healthy toddlers without a cow's milk protein allergy. If you are thinking about transitioning to a toddler milk, the Holle toddler formula collection gives you a broader view of options at this stage.
Ingredients and Nutritional Composition
At Stage 3, the carbohydrate blend includes maltodextrin and starch alongside lactose from the milk base, providing a sustained energy profile for an active toddler. The vegetable oil blend contains organic palm oil. DHA is supplied by oil from the microalgae Schizochytrium sp. ARA is not present in Stage 3.
The formula contains no added probiotic cultures or prebiotic GOS. It is free from synthetic preservatives and artificial additives. As with all stages in the Holle Organic Cow line, the ingredient list is kept straightforward in line with the brand's biodynamic principles.
Authentic European Formula, Available in the US

Organic Formula Europe ships authentic, sealed cans directly from Europe to families in the United States. You receive the same product sold in European markets, without repackaging or reformulation.
The expiration date is printed in European DD/MM/YYYY format. A date such as 01/11/2026 means November 1, 2026. Store the can in a cool, dry place and use within the timeframe stated on the label after opening.
Preparation and Serving
Follow the preparation instructions on the can at each feeding. Use freshly boiled water cooled to the temperature stated on the label, and prepare each serving fresh. Powdered formula is not sterile, so maintaining clean preparation equipment and following the correct powder-to-water ratio remain important even at the toddler stage. Use only the measuring scoop included in the can.

How to Prepare Powdered Formula
- Boil fresh water for each feed and let it cool to the temperature printed on your can. Powdered infant formula is not sterile, so the CDC and WHO advise that water at about 158°F (70°C) lowers the risk of Cronobacter, especially for newborns and higher-risk infants. Follow your can's instructions and ask your pediatrician which approach is right for your baby.
- Pour about two-thirds of the required water into a clean, sterilized bottle.
- Use only the scoop provided with your formula pack (sizes may vary). Add the correct number of level scoops - 1 scoop per 1 oz / 30 ml of water.
- Close the bottle with the nipple and cap. Shake vigorously until all powder is dissolved.
- Add the remaining water and shake again.
- Cool to drinking temperature (approx. 98 °F / 37 °C). Always test the milk temperature before feeding to avoid scalding your baby.
Important Information
- Only use the scoop included in the package.
- Do not make feeds weaker or stronger than indicated. Do not add extra water, scoops, or other ingredients.
- Always prepare fresh. Do not prepare bottles in advance. Discard any leftovers after each feed.
- Never heat bottles in the microwave - hot spots can cause burns.
- Once opened, use formula within 21 days. Never use beyond the expiration date printed on the box/tin (format: day/month/year).
- Avoid storing formula in hot or humid environments.
