Stage 3 for Toddlers From 12 Months

Toddler growing-up milks like Stage 3 are designed to complement a varied diet of solid foods, not to replace meals. From 12 months, a child's dietary needs shift considerably, and Stage 3 is formulated to contribute nutrients that can be harder to cover consistently through food alone at this age, including iron and vitamins.

Kendamil Organic Stage 3 is based on organic whole cow milk, maintaining the natural fat content of the milk rather than using a skimmed milk base. It contains no palm oil, and DHA is sourced from Schizochytrium sp. marine algae. No starch or maltodextrin is listed in the registry.

Ingredients and Composition

The carbohydrate source in Stage 3 is organic lactose from milk, supplemented with GOS prebiotic fibers. The formula uses no added starch or maltodextrin according to the registry. ARA is absent at Stage 3, which is consistent with the nutritional transition toddlers make as their diet broadens.

The protein is intact, non-hydrolyzed cow milk protein. Stage 3 is not appropriate for children with a diagnosed cow's milk protein allergy. The Soil Association certification confirms that the organic sourcing and processing of the formula meets independently verified standards.

Preparation and Storage

Follow the preparation instructions on the can exactly. Use freshly boiled water cooled to the temperature stated on the label, and measure scoops level with the scoop enclosed. Do not add extra scoops or dilute the formula beyond the instructions given.

Once opened, store the can sealed in a cool, dry place and use within the number of days stated on the packaging.

How to Prepare Powdered Formula

  1. Boil fresh water for each feed and let it cool to the temperature printed on your can. Powdered infant formula is not sterile, so the CDC and WHO advise that water at about 158°F (70°C) lowers the risk of Cronobacter, especially for newborns and higher-risk infants. Follow your can's instructions and ask your pediatrician which approach is right for your baby.
  2. Pour about two-thirds of the required water into a clean, sterilized bottle.
  3. Use only the scoop provided with your formula pack (sizes may vary). Add the correct number of level scoops - 1 scoop per 1 oz / 30 ml of water.
  4. Close the bottle with the nipple and cap. Shake vigorously until all powder is dissolved.
  5. Add the remaining water and shake again.
  6. Cool to drinking temperature (approx. 98 °F / 37 °C). Always test the milk temperature before feeding to avoid scalding your baby.

Important Information

  1. Only use the scoop included in the package.
  2. Do not make feeds weaker or stronger than indicated. Do not add extra water, scoops, or other ingredients.
  3. Always prepare fresh. Do not prepare bottles in advance. Discard any leftovers after each feed.
  4. Never heat bottles in the microwave - hot spots can cause burns.
  5. Once opened, use formula within 21 days. Never use beyond the expiration date printed on the box/tin (format: day/month/year).
  6. Avoid storing formula in hot or humid environments.
