Kendamil Goat Formula Stage 3 is a toddler growing-up milk for children from 12 months onward, rounding out the Kendamil Goat range with the same whole-goat-milk base and no-palm-oil recipe found in the earlier stages. Made by the family-owned McMahon business in Kendal, Cumbria, it is designed to complement a toddler's expanding diet of solid foods. Check in with your pediatrician before adding a toddler milk drink to your child's routine.

Kendamil: Family-Owned, Whole-Milk Formula Since 1962

The Kendamil factory in Kendal, Cumbria has been operating since 1962, and the Kendamil brand was launched in 2016 by the McMahon family. Today the company remains family-owned and operated, with whole milk as the foundation of all Kendamil ranges.

EU-market Kendamil Goat cans distributed by Organic Formula Europe are labeled Product of the EU. The Goat line is non-organic. For toddler growing-up milks across other Kendamil lines, visit the Kendamil Toddler Formula collection.

Stage 3: Goat Milk Growing-Up Drink for Toddlers

Toddler Stage 3 is a growing-up milk intended to accompany meals, not replace them. It is designed for children from 12 months who are eating a varied diet and who may benefit from an additional source of iron, calcium, vitamins, and other nutrients.

Kendamil Goat Stage 3 uses whole goat milk, which is naturally higher in A2 beta-casein than typical cow's milk. Goat milk formula is not hypoallergenic and is not a replacement for medical-grade hypoallergenic formula if your toddler has a diagnosed cow's milk protein allergy. Cross-reactivity between goat and cow milk proteins is well documented.

Ingredients and Composition

The formula is based on whole goat milk. Lactose is the primary carbohydrate source, with GOS prebiotics included and no maltodextrin listed in the recipe.

Vegetable oils are sunflower, coconut, and rapeseed. No palm oil is used in Kendamil Goat Stage 3. DHA is supplied by algae oil from Schizochytrium sp., keeping the formula vegetarian friendly. ARA from Mortierella alpina oil is also included.

European Standards and Ordering From Organic Formula Europe

Kendamil Goat Stage 3 is formulated to EU growing-up milk standards, providing a regulated nutritional baseline for toddler-stage milk drinks. EU standards for composition and safety apply across all stages.

How to Prepare Powdered Formula

  1. Boil fresh water for each feed and let it cool to the temperature printed on your can. Powdered infant formula is not sterile, so the CDC and WHO advise that water at about 158°F (70°C) lowers the risk of Cronobacter, especially for newborns and higher-risk infants. Follow your can's instructions and ask your pediatrician which approach is right for your baby.
  2. Pour about two-thirds of the required water into a clean, sterilized bottle.
  3. Use only the scoop provided with your formula pack (sizes may vary). Add the correct number of level scoops - 1 scoop per 1 oz / 30 ml of water.
  4. Close the bottle with the nipple and cap. Shake vigorously until all powder is dissolved.
  5. Add the remaining water and shake again.
  6. Cool to drinking temperature (approx. 98 °F / 37 °C). Always test the milk temperature before feeding to avoid scalding your baby.

Important Information

  1. Only use the scoop included in the package.
  2. Do not make feeds weaker or stronger than indicated. Do not add extra water, scoops, or other ingredients.
  3. Always prepare fresh. Do not prepare bottles in advance. Discard any leftovers after each feed.
  4. Never heat bottles in the microwave - hot spots can cause burns.
  5. Once opened, use formula within 21 days. Never use beyond the expiration date printed on the box/tin (format: day/month/year).
  6. Avoid storing formula in hot or humid environments.

Breast milk is the best source of nutrition for infants. Please consult your pediatrician before introducing or changing infant formula. Infant formula is designed to meet the nutritional requirements of infants according to age. It contains carbohydrates, which are an essential part of infant nutrition. As with any carbohydrate-containing liquids, frequent or prolonged contact with the teeth may increase the risk of tooth decay. To support healthy dental habits, avoid extended bottle use and encourage transitioning to a cup when age-appropriate.

Packaging may change without notice. Always follow the preparation, storage, and feeding instructions provided on your product packaging.

Why should I choose Kendamil Goat Stage 3 for my toddler instead of regular cow's milk?

Kendamil Goat Stage 3 provides a complete nutrient profile specifically designed for growing toddlers aged 12 months and older. Unlike regular cow's milk, this toddler formula is enriched with essential vitamins and minerals like calcium, phosphorus, vitamin C and D3 for optimal bone and teeth development. It contains naturally occurring DHA and ARA from marine algae to support brain and eye development, plus prebiotics and probiotics that promote healthy digestion. The formula features exclusively A2 goat milk proteins, which are gentler on sensitive tummies and easier to digest than standard cow's milk proteins. Additionally, with a carefully balanced 80:20 whey to casein ratio, it helps prepare your little one for the eventual transition to whole milk while ensuring they receive all necessary nutrients during this crucial growth phase.

What makes Kendamil Goat Stage 3 different from other toddler formulas?

Kendamil Goat Stage 3 stands out as the only goat milk formula that naturally contains milk fat globule membrane (MFGM), found in breast milk and known to support cognitive development. It also includes human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) that promote stools similar to breastfed babies and boost immune system function. This vegetarian-friendly formula uses whole goat milk as its base, providing natural milk fats without relying on palm oil or synthetic additives. All Organic Formulas meet strict European standards, and Kendamil takes this further by excluding soy, GMOs, corn syrup, sugar, and peanuts from their recipes. The formula is certified by the UK Red Tractor, ensuring the highest food standards without hormones or antibiotics.

How do I know if my toddler is ready for Kendamil Goat Stage 3?

Kendamil Goat Stage 3 is specifically formulated for toddlers 12 months and older who are already eating a variety of solid foods. This stage serves as a nutritional complement to your toddler's regular diet rather than a meal replacement. Signs your child is ready include steady growth patterns, successful weaning from infant formula or breast milk, and regular consumption of family foods. If your toddler has shown sensitivity to cow's milk proteins or you're looking for a gentler alternative with enhanced nutrients, this Kendamil Goat Formula Stage 1 progression to Stage 3 provides an excellent nutritional bridge. The formula's purely lactose-based recipe mirrors breast milk's primary carbohydrate source while supporting digestive comfort.

Can I use Kendamil Goat Stage 3 if my toddler has never used goat milk formula before?

Yes, you can introduce Kendamil Goat Stage 3 to toddlers who haven't previously used goat milk formula. The gentle A2 proteins found exclusively in goat milk are often well-tolerated by children with sensitive digestive systems. When transitioning from another formula or milk source, introduce it gradually over 5-7 days by mixing increasing amounts of Kendamil with your current milk. The formula's creamy texture and pleasant taste make it readily accepted by most toddlers. Its whole milk base provides crucial fats needed for brain development, while the absence of fish oils means no unpleasant aftertaste that some children reject.

How much Kendamil Goat Stage 3 should my toddler drink daily?

The amount of Kendamil Goat Stage 3 your toddler needs varies based on their overall diet and nutritional requirements. Generally, toddlers aged 12-24 months benefit from 2-3 servings (approximately 200-300ml each) daily, depending on their solid food intake. Since this formula complements rather than replaces meals, adjust servings based on your child's appetite and growth. We recommend cup-feeding rather than bottle-feeding to promote motor skill development and self-feeding abilities. Each 800g can provides multiple servings, and the formula's nutrient-dense composition ensures your toddler receives optimal nutrition even with varying daily amounts. Always consult your pediatrician for personalized feeding recommendations based on your child's specific needs.
