Warehouse and Cold Chain

Stored the way your pantry should be. Only stricter.

Where our inventory lives between the European factory and your front door, and what we do every day to make sure nothing changes about it.

Climate Controlled Continuously Monitored No Garage, No Bedroom Dedicated Facility
Why This Page Exists

Most online sellers will not tell you where their inventory sits. That is not an oversight. It is the answer.

A real warehouse is expensive to run. Climate controls cost money. Monitored facilities cost more. The cheapest way to sell baby formula online is to ship it from a spare bedroom, an unheated garage, or a third party fulfilment locker that nobody inspects. The product looks identical when it arrives. The damage shows up weeks later in shelf life, in nutrient stability, and in the trust a parent placed in a label. We run a real warehouse because there is no other honest way to handle this category. The pages below describe what that actually looks like.

Three numbers we hold to, every hour, every day.

Temperature

Steady cool, never warm

Our storage holds between fifty nine and seventy five degrees Fahrenheit at all times. The European manufacturers print their storage instructions inside that range, and we do not allow drift in either direction.

Logged every fifteen minutes
Humidity

Dry enough to matter

Relative humidity is held between thirty five and fifty percent. Powdered formula is sensitive to moisture in ways that do not show on the outside of the can but absolutely change what is inside it.

Continuous dehumidification
Light and Air

Dark, still, sealed

No direct sunlight, no fluorescent overexposure, no airflow disturbances around the racking. Cans sit on closed shelves rather than on open pallets exposed to ambient lighting and traffic.

Verified on every audit

A real warehouse versus a spare bedroom.

06:00Pre Shift

Environmental readout

Before any pallet moves, the overnight log is reviewed. Temperature, humidity, and door open events for every hour of the previous twenty four are checked against tolerance. Any drift outside the range triggers a hold on the affected zone until the cause is identified.

09:00Inbound

Receiving inspection

Arriving shipments are checked against the supplier paperwork before any can enters inventory. Pallets are inspected for damage, transit temperature loggers are read, and a visual sample is pulled from each batch. Anything outside spec is rejected at the dock.

11:00Picking

FIFO pull

Orders are picked by the warehouse system, which selects the oldest qualifying can in stock for every line item. The picker scans each can to confirm batch number and best before date against the order requirements before it moves to packing.

15:00Outbound

Final verification

Every packed order is checked one more time before the carrier collects it. Date, batch, count, and packaging integrity are confirmed against the picking record. If a single can fails the second check, the entire order is repacked.

17:30End Of Day

Slow mover scan

The day closes with a scan of any batch that is approaching the six month line. These cans are surfaced, evaluated, and either pulled to clear inventory or written off. The point is to act on slow movers weeks before they put pressure on the freshness promise.

A few things our facility refuses to do.

  • We never store inventory in a residential building or shared workspace.
  • We never share warehouse space with non food products.
  • We never use a third party fulfilment locker that we cannot inspect ourselves.
  • We never leave product in transit zones, hallways, or temporary holding overnight.
  • We never accept a delivery that has not been temperature logged in transit.
  • We never resume operations in a zone that has fallen out of tolerance until the cause is documented and resolved.

A short list, strictly held. The day any of these change is the day we rewrite this page first.

After It Leaves Us

"Our standards end the moment a courier picks up a box. Our care does not."

Once a box leaves the warehouse, it travels with insulated packaging chosen for the season and the route. Summer shipments to warmer states ride with additional thermal protection at no extra cost to the parent. Winter shipments are routed to avoid prolonged exposure on doorsteps in freezing zones.

If a box arrives in a state that suggests its journey was harder than it should have been, write to us before opening any can inside. We replace, refund, and audit the carrier route the same week.
