A best-before date is a number that every can of formula should have.
Parents ask about freshness more than any other question. A seller who treats their inventory carelessly cannot hide it forever. The cans they ship will eventually arrive with weeks of shelf life remaining instead of months. We built our entire warehouse process around making sure that never happens.
Every can of formula we ship arrives with at least six months of shelf life remaining.
If yours does not, write to us and we will replace it or refund it.
This is a strict standard we enforce. If we ever fall short of it, we cover the cost in full, and we audit the entire batch that product came from to find out how it slipped through the cracks.

Freshness matters
A typical European baby formula carries a shelf life of around eighteen months from manufacture. Six months is the line at which a parent has time to actually use a can without rushing, and wait for the next delivery without panic.

FIFO rotation
FIFO: First in, first out. Every can entering our warehouse is logged with its arrival date and its best-before date. The system pulls the oldest qualifying can first on every order, every time.
Internal cut off
Our six-month line sits at the warehouse, not at the customer. Cans approaching that threshold are pulled from active inventory and either sold at a clear discount with the date plainly marked, or written off entirely. Nothing crosses our promise to a parent who paid full price.
Climate controlled storage
Temperature and humidity are monitored continuously across our storage facility. The conditions sit within the range specified on every can. Logged data is kept for the full life of every batch we receive.
Order by order verification
Every shipment is checked against its packing slip before it leaves the warehouse. The best-before date on each can is read, recorded, and confirmed against the six-month line. A can that fails the check does not get packed.
Quarterly audit
Once every three months we run a full inventory audit of every batch on the shelf. Slow movers are identified, surfaced, and resolved before they put pressure on our promise. The point of the audit is to catch problems weeks before they ever reach a customer.

A formula stays as fresh as the cupboard you keep it in. A few small habits protect every product you buy.
Store unopened cans in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, ideally below 77 degrees Fahrenheit. The pantry is fine, the windowsill is not. The garage and the car trunk are never appropriate for any infant nutrition product, regardless of the season.
Once a can is opened, it should be used within three weeks and kept tightly closed between uses. The best-before date on the unopened can does not apply once the seal is broken. Keep the scoop on hand, and never use a wet scoop in dry formula.
